Can England Beat All-Blacks Record?

By: Harry

England have equalled the All Blacks’ record winning streak: 18 matches without losing. If they beat Ireland this Saturday 18th, they will have the longest winning streak Rugby Union has ever seen.

England have been more than successful under Eddie Jones, providing a winning streak that could see them become world record holders. Ireland are not going to be easy to beat, but surely the passion for achieving that title will drive them to victory.

It's all about what we do next.

Eddie Jones, England Head coach

The Squad that Jones has put out includes Anthony Watson on the wing and Billy Vunipola at No.8. Tighthead prop Dan Cole has played for the whole winning streak, being the only player in the squad to do this.

When interviewed about the Scotland match, Jones said, "This game has given us the opportunity to play well in that game. It's all about what we do next", he said on Saturday, the noise from partying England supporters echoing around just outside.

If England beat New Zealand’s record, a match is scheduled to be played between them before autumn next year. Further details are not available yet.

In an interview about the winning streak, Jones added, "We're one year into a four-year project. We've done reasonably well in the first year." If Ireland collapse on Saturday, England will beat New Zealand’s record. Only time will tell the result of this gripping match
