Catastrophic Car Crashes
By: Patience
Every day almost five hundred people are injured in car crashes in the UK – with five deaths a day. The majority of these accidents are caused by the same reasons. The effects physically and mentally can last a lifetime. Financially, there is a huge impact for those involved, and the economy.
Top 5 Causes of Car Crashes
- Using smart phones such as, texting or calling someone.
- Drunk driving
- Mechanical problems such as engine failure or faulty breaks.
- Bad weather problems like snowy days or a thunder storm
Being in a car accident is pretty scary! But if you stay calm and follow the rules the police will come and help you.
First, just stop and take a breather but don’t freak out to much because that could make matters worse.
Next, if possible try and turn the engine off and turn your hazard lights on so people can see if you are hurt.
Finally, try to call 999(or 911) as soon as possible so they can come and help you.
