Stand Up For Charities

By: Patience

There are thousands of charities out there and not enough people supporting them. Many people have struggled with a range of diseases such as cancer. Cancer has an effect on everybody, not just the person who suffers from it. The person’s family and friends also feel the pain of this destructive disease. This changes and impacts their lives for various reasons, such as:

-Surgeries

-Chemotherapy

-Radio Therapy

-Hormonal Therapy

Targeted Therapy

What is causing cancer?

There are many causes of cancer and sometimes its bad luck. However, there are often ways of reducing the risk. Some of the things to avoid are smoking and consumption of alcohol and sun exposure. Also diet has also been linked with cancer, especially those who eat an unhealthy diet and are obese.

Let's go!

There is also the very serious disease called Parkinson’s, with great charities supporting them. It is degenerative which means patients cannot get better but can get worse. Symptoms of Parkinson’s are very serious, they involve muscle stiffness in the leg, arms or neck when moved back and forth. People donate one pound but 80p is spent on making the life better of someone who suffers with this and 20p is spent on getting the next one pound.

Further a Field

When there is a terrible incident the world often comes together in the most surprising way. After the 2001 9/11 incident in America the public support for the victims the charity was overwhelming as they raised $2.7 billion to give to the victims’ family members.

In Britain, there are many amazing charities that all need and deserve our support. Celebrities and the public alike come together in big fundraising events, such as Stand up to Cancer, Comic Relief and Children in Need. These charities raise millions of pounds for the most needy and they need every penny that you can spare.
