The boxing community are in anticipation of the important match coming up between the giant, Anthony Joshua, and the speedy Jarrell Miller. This epic battle will happen on June 1st on Saturday and will be watched by millions around the world. This match will signal Anthony Joshua’s first fight in nearly nine months, so all eyes are on him to see how his training has been going. But, what do we know about these two closely matched fighters?

Anthony Joshua

He was born in the UK on 15 October 1989, but lived in Nigeria until he was 12 years old. At age 18 he started boxing and he joined Finchley ABC for Amateur Boxers. In July 2013 he finally signed up for Match Room Boxing. Anthony Joshua turned down the offer for £50,000 to turn professional. Anthony Joshua, has less experience then Jarrell Miller has a higher experience as he started at age 16, and Anthony Joshua started at age 18 the difference between the two ages is 2 years. Of course, experience isn’t everything when it comes to agility, strength and reflexes in the ring.

Jarrell Miller

Jarrell Miller was born on July 15 1988, he is a boxer and also a kickboxer. He took up Muay Thai at age 14, to defend himself on the streets. Muay Thai also known as the “art of eight limbs”. Impressively, he has lost once out of 11 amateur bouts but he was kicked out of the amateur boxing, because he has professional kickboxing experience. He has been fighting professionally ever since and making a name for himself in the boxing world.

These two boxers are well matched, well prepared and ready to face each other. This fight is about to go down in history!
