			Emma Watson: Face of Feminism

Recently, Beauty and the Beast star Emma Watson has been stirring up popularity with her recent outburst of feminist pride. Although in the past she showed signs of female empowerment, the Harry Potter child star has been spreading her message of equality of genders; especially on international women’s day last week.

To show her support for feminists everywhere, she attended the women’s march in Washington D.C with her mother on January 21st . She says: “It's really emotional for me, it's the first march I've ever been on. I flew here from England with my mother, and just to see the turnout, that thousands of people showed up today, is just incredibly heartening and it feels incredibly positive. I'm just really humbled to be here."

Following her launch of the HeForShe campaign in 2014, Emma’s heart-warming speech at the United Nations captured everyone’s attention, reminding us that feminism isn’t just a fight for women – It’s for men to join in as well. Since HeForShe, Emma has also formed a feminist book club, which has been plastered all over social media. Videos of Emma placing books on the underground and near famous landmarks and statues can be seen on her Instagram.

As part of her new push for human rights, Watson has visited Bangladesh and Zambia as part of her humanitarian efforts. She has worked hard to promote fair trade and organic clothing and served as an ambassador for Camfed International: a movement to educate girls in rural Africa. This shows how much she of an impact she’s had in the 21st century, and her message of gender equality has spread everywhere. Long may it continue we say!
