Mind-Blowing Mandela Effect

By: Hiba

Have you ever remembered something so clearly but then found out it never happened? Like the monopoly man having a monocle or Curious George having a tail? Well that never happened! The reason for this? Well, there are lots of theories for why this might be happening: time travel, alternate universes or a glitch in the “computing system” – but the latter is a whole theory within itself, so I shan’t go into much detail about that. This theory is called The Mandela Effect because so many people remember Nelson Mandela dying in prison. By “so many” I mean hundreds of thousands of people seeing his funeral on TV and remembering the mourning in South Africa.

The Mandela Effect is taking over the internet because so many things to do with pop culture have been affected. So many people’s childhood memories aren’t the same. The most realistic reason is that someone in the far future has cracked time travel and has gone back in time to change little things. Another one (which is rather far-fetched) is that one day many of us woke up in an alternate universe where our exists.

almost everyone remembers the Evil Queen’s iconic line: “mirror mirror on the wall” but this isn’t what it actually said – she actually says, “magic mirror”. And the toy is actually spelled out Rubik’s cube, not Rubix cube

I personally think that the Mandela affect is real but I don’t know what the reason is. I don’t think that all these examples are just coincidences and that this is just a case of lots of people having a bad memory. These aren’t the only examples. Lots of people also remember in Star Wars the line isn’t actually “Luke, I am your father” but is “no, I am your father.”

So what do you think about the Mandela Effect?
