NASA’s probe ‘New Horizons’ is making history right at this very moment on its mission to go out of the milky way and beyond and it’s already gone past the icy planet of ultima Thule and sent back pictures that is history in the making, back to mission control in Cape Kennedy, USA.

This extraordinary probe was launched on 19 January 2006 and has now been floating out of our solar system for over 13 years and is still helping NASA find out what happens out there in the unknown but it has also caught great pictures of outer space and the rocket that helped it up there was the Atlas V rocket which weighs 334,500 kg and is over 191.27 feet tall.

It is extraordinary that it is still going in space for over 13 years and I hope it will keep going for years after that.

Here is what a pupil had to say about this historic probe.
