Derby Artist Brightens up Pub with Stunning Mural of Marina
A 10-foot by 12-foot masterpiece was painted in a local pub by a Derbyshire artist during lockdown. The Boathouse pub in Shardlow has been transformed by one of their regular customers who took a beautiful photograph of the local marina and decided to bring it to life. The mural is now displayed proudly on one of the internal walls of the establishment. While creating the mural, John allowed residents to watch him at work and the piece quickly became the talk of the town.
The artist in question is called John McDonald. He has a range of other artwork, with one of his pieces, the ‘Butterfly Cry', being valued at more than £1,700.
