7LSS and 7TJB - Remote Learning due to COVID-19 Cases
Posted 27th January 2022
Due to increased COVID-19 cases in the tutor groups, students in 7LSS and 7TJB will be placed on remote learning on Friday 28th and Monday 31st January.
Good afternoon, from LCS.
Emails have been sent this morning to parents/carers of students in two Year 7 classes. These classes have seen an increase in Covid-19 cases over the last few days and currently account for a large majority of cases in Year 7 as a whole.
After consultation with our Local Authority CCT, we have made the decision to place students in these two classes on remote learning for tomorrow and Monday 31st January.
This decision currently applies to students in these 2 classes only, so if you have not received an email, text message and/or letter today, please continue to send your child(ren) to school as normal.
The classes concerned are 7LSS and 7TJB.
In asking students to work from home tomorrow and Monday, and with the weekend in between, we are allowing a break of 4 days to, hopefully, slow down the apparent spread of the Covid-19 virus within these classes and potentially to further students and groups in school.
We would continue to encourage students to test regularly at home for Covid-19 at this time, particularly students in Year 7 where we have more cases currently than the remainder of the school combined.
Thank you for your continued support.
Keep safe
