Head's Welcome

A warm welcome to Littleover Community School,

Our aims are simple, but they underpin everything we expect from our students, and they underpin the vision for our school.

In our school,  students develop a love of lifelong learning, understanding that developing their knowledge and skills empowers them. Our engaging and diverse curriculum allows students to flourish.

In our school, students contribute to the caring and supportive environment, knowing that compassion and thoughtfulness are characteristics which are celebrated and should be demonstrated in all their thoughts and actions.

In our school, students succeed, both through academic excellence and through achievements beyond the traditional curriculum, valuing the resilience and effort required to achieve the highest standards for the community and individually.

As a result, our expectations are high. Staff, students and parents  work together to ensure that all members of our community feel valued.

We look forward to welcoming you into the community.

Learning

Achieving academically

Lifelong learners never stop growing, often exceeding their ambitions and potential educationally and vocationally. Our expert staff deliver a high-quality, inclusive academic programme that encourages our students to be and stay curious in the classroom and beyond.

Our school day

Caring, Fun, and Structured Days at LCS

A typical LCS day consists of five periods, tutor time, morning break and lunchtime. We work to a ‘Week A’ and ‘Week B’ timetable, starting with Week A on your child’s first morning at school. Once they’ve started, you can find more information on timetables, homework, and other information at Go4Schools.
