Welcome to Economics
Economics is a subject within the Enterprise Faculty, and is included as an option for KS5 students.
The course is designed to support students in developing the following skills that have been identified as key for progression in this subject:
Thinking like an economist
The application of economic concepts and theories to real-world contexts
The application of appropriate quantitative skills to relevant economic contexts
Engagement with economics through wider reading and an awareness of the current issues impacting on the subject.
Students who study Economics can progress to further study of the subject; become more specialised in aspects of the Economics at university; use the subject to support apprenticeship or full time employment applications.
