Your Guide to LCS

Information from Key Staff

Starting at a new school is a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty. At Littleover Community School, we want you to feel welcome, supported, and ready to make a confident start.

In these videos, you’ll meet some of the staff you’ll be seeing regularly, your Heads of Year, Assistant Head Teachers, and our Safeguarding Lead. They each play an important part in helping you settle in, find your way around, and feel part of the school community.

If you have any questions after watching, don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of chances to speak to staff and ask for help during your induction days.

Computer and internet use.

At LCS, we use computers and the internet to support a lot of the work you’ll be doing in lessons. Some of you may already feel confident using technology, while others might be less familiar — and that’s absolutely fine.

To help everyone stay safe and make the most of our IT systems, we’ve put together a clear set of rules. These will guide you on how to use school computers responsibly and respectfully, whether you're researching, completing homework, or sending an email.

Everything you do on school computers is monitored, so if the rules aren’t followed, you may lose access or face other consequences. We trust you to use technology sensibly, and when you do, it becomes a brilliant tool for learning and creativity at LCS.
