Community Sports Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and experienced individual to assist in the running of the Sport and Fitness Centre at Littleover Community School. Candidates should have relevant qualifications to instruct clients in the use of fitness training equipment. A current First Aid Certificate is desirable. Duties will include:
• To assist in managing the use of the facilities by all Community groups and users.
• To carry out reception duties, greeting users and members, and answering telephone calls and e-mail enquiries.
• To prepare induction programmes for new users of the facilities and oversee their operation.
• To assist in marketing and advertising the facilities in the local area in order to maximise use and income.
• To carry out minor maintenance of PE equipment and report faults to the Site Manager and Community Sports Supervisor.
• To assist in maintaining good standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the centre.
• To adhere to the School’s Health, Safety and Security Policy and ensure safety systems are in place and operational.
• To assist in the review, update and completion of all relevant risk assessments on a termly or annual basis.

The person appointed to this position will need to be flexible, well organised and professional and have the ability to communicate with staff and students at all levels. They should be numerate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic individual, able to use their own initiative but also able to work well as part of a team. The person appointed to this position will need to be flexible, well organised and professional and have the ability to communicate with staff and students at all levels.

Duties include:
1. Devise and plan menus in accordance with nutritional standards, considering dietary needs, cultural and religious backgrounds, and food allergies.
2. The transferring and serving of meals.
3. Order food goods and other commodities from accredited suppliers within the agreed school catering budget to comply with best practice.
4. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety, food safety, and the food safety act 1990, and cosh regulations at all times.
5. Manage the schools cashless system by payment of cheques and cash onto customer accounts, reconcile and bank takings on a daily basis.
6. To undertake Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Training as and when required.

Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic individual, able to use their own initiative but also able to work well as part of a team. The person appointed to this position will need to be flexible, well organised and professional and have the ability to communicate with staff and students at all levels.

Duties include:

1. To undertake the basic preparation of food and beverages including the preparation of vegetables and snacks and to provide support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
2. The transferring and serving of meals.
3. General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables, cleaning of the kitchen and dining room surrounds and equipment to include all work surfaces, dining furniture, floors and walls.
4. To undertake Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Training as and when required.

Required knowledge and experience:
• Level 1/2 Food Safety Certificate would be an advantage.
• Health & Safety procedures, including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH)
• Previous catering experience with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic individual, able to use their own initiative but also able to work well as part of a team.

Duties will include:
• Dealing with telephone calls and general reception duties.
• Receiving and welcoming visitors and parents.
• Providing word processing and clerical support as required.

The essential requirements are:
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Word with excellent keyboard skills.
• The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads.
