We are looking to appoint, an enthusiastic and well-qualified Technology teacher. The ability to teach all aspects of Technology in KS3 is essential. Ideally, the candidate will be able to teach OCR Technology (Engineering) to GCSE.

Our Technology Faculty achieves excellent examination results in all subject areas and seeks to foster technological activities that are interesting, enjoyable and relevant to students.

Relief Exam Invigilator

Exam Sessions


We are looking for Relief Exam Invigilators to cover the exam period from 11th May – 26th June, 2020. The hourly rate would be approximately £9.80.

The hours would be:
Morning exam : 8.00 am onwards
Mid-morning exam : 11.00 am onwards
Afternoon exams : 1.00 pm onwards

The hours worked would be variable between the above dates, depending on the length of exams and the number of invigilators required. Invigilators may be needed for just one session a day, or all day, sometimes every day of the week or just a couple of times a week. All successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (Police) check and will be expected to attend a training session prior to starting.

The duties would involve:

• Setting up exams
• Collection of exam papers
• Helping towards the smooth running of exams
• Adhering to exam regulations

Duke of Edinburgh Award Administrator/Verifier

26 hours/week


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to the post of Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Administrator/Verifier, to join our hardworking team here at LCS. We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has the administrative skills required to co-ordinate and support the day to day running of the DofE scheme, including the collection and return of kit and equipment.
• Is proficient in the use of both Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Has excellent standards of literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths).
• Is able to work independently but also effectively as part of a team.
• Is able to assist the Educational Visits Officer with the administration of trips, consent forms and school events.
• Is a current DofE Verifier, or be prepared to undertake the necessary training.
• Holds a current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to train for one.
• Has a flexible attitude to work and a willingness to adapt to change.

Monday : 09:00 am – 04:00 pm (30 mins lunch break)
Tuesday : 09:00 am – 01:30 pm
Wednesday : 12.00 pm – 04.30 pm

Friday : 01:30 pm – 05:30 pm
