Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships allow students to learn through real work experience while gaining recognised qualifications. Most apprentices spend four days in the workplace and one day at college or with a training provider.
They can be competitive to secure, but apprentices are paid a wage while they train and develop practical skills. Entry requirements vary depending on the level of the apprenticeship.
Many large companies, such as Toyota and Rolls-Royce, advertise opportunities directly on their own websites.
