Is Grime The Music of the Future?

Nowadays people listen to different genres such as rock, reggae and R & B but a new genre has crept in to the playlist.

What is ‘Grime’ and where was it made?

This new genre is called ‘Grime’. Grime is a genre of music that emerged in East London in the early 2000s. It developed out of earlier UK electronic music styles, including UK garage and jungle, and also draws influence from Jamaican dancehall, reggae, and hip hop.

Who made Grime?

Two schoolboys in east London helped change the face of electronic music using computers they were given for their homework. Ruff Sqwad's Rapid and Dirty Danger look back. Grime sounded as if it had crash-landed in the present with no past, and no future. It was never supposed to be about nostalgia.

When was grime made?

Grime is a genre of music that emerged in East London in the early 2000s and is now a well know genre with a skyrocketing amount of views and could be the earths most viewed or most common genre as it has started spreading to America quickly.

Why is grime so popular?

The reason grime is all of a sudden popular is because people have all of a sudden realised pop music is boring. That is the truth, and is worldly recognised. This means that pop music award ceremonies become very boring too, and sure enough this year's Brit Awards lived up to that stereotype of being lit. That is, with the exception of Kanye West’s barnstorming performance of upcoming single ‘All Day’.
