250 Human Skulls Found in Veracruz Mass Grave

State prosecutor Jorge Winkler has said that two hundred and fifty skulls have been found in the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz in a mass grave.
Mr Winkler said to TV network Televisa that drug traffickers have used Veracruz as a dumping ground for bodies for many years. He said that he cannot rule out that no more bodies can be found, and only part of the gravesite has been searched so far.
Discoveries such as this are not unusual in Mexico.
Mr Winkler blames the government for not trying hard enough to find and identify those people reported missing.
"In my view, once we have opened all the mass graves in the state, Veracruz could become the biggest mass grave in Mexico, or even the world," he said.
Relatives of those found at the grave say that they can finally be at peace, knowing that the bodies of their family are safe.
